The Seele C Unit #1 (2690’FSL; 990’ FWL Sec. 36-T10S-R34W) in Thomas County, KS reached RTD of 4810’ today. Preparations are underway to run 5 ½” production casing on the well for completion as an oil well from undisclosed zones. Wichita based H2 Drilling, LLC Rig #2, Steve Craig tool pusher, provided rotary services. The well was under the geological supervision of Steven P. Murphy.

The Virginia #2-6 (1030’ FNL; 2350’ FWL Sec. 6-T11S-R22W, Trego County, KS) has been completed as a dry hole. A rotary total depth of 4000’ was reported. Southwind Drilling, Inc. rotary tools were over the hole. GeoCertified, LLC provided well site geological services.

Southwind Drilling, Inc. moved Rig #1 rotary tools to the Virginia #2-6 (1030’ FNL; 2350’ FWL Sec. 6-T11S-R22W, Trego County, KS). Kevin Bailey, owner of GeoCertified, LLC, is slated to provide well site geological services during drilling.
Meanwhile, in Thomas County, KS the Seele C Unit #1 (2690’FSL; 990’ FWL Sec. 36-T10S-R34W) has been staked and location preparation commenced. H2Drilling, Inc. Rig #2 is contracted to drill the well to a depth sufficient to test the Mississippi formation. Steven P. Murphy will be providing well site geological supervision.

In Logan County, KS a second test drilled by H2 Drilling Inc. this month, the McDaniel D #1-24 (2240’ FSL; 2310’ FEL Sec. 24-T15S-R34W, Logan County, KS) was plugged and abandoned as a dry hole. Seven drill stem tests were run but no commercial results were encountered. Geologist Steve Angle, Hays, provided well site geological supervision. Mud logging service was provided by GeoCertified, LLC, Shawnee, KS.

The McDaniel N Unit #1 (2090’ FSL; 2640’ FWL Sec. 28-T15S-R34W, Logan County, KS) was plugged and abandoned as a dry hole. The well was drilled to RTD 4800’. Five drill stem tests were run. Geologist Steve Angle, Hays, provided well site geological supervision. Mud logging service was provided by GeoCertified, LLC, Shawnee, KS.

H2 Drilling, LLC is moving Rig #2 onto the McDaniel N Unit #1 (2090’ FSL; 2640’ FWL Sec. 28-T15S-R34W, Logan County, KS) today. This well attempts to extend production originally established by the (now abandoned) Cities Service McDaniel B #1. The McDaniel B #1 is the McDaniel Field discovery well and is the sole producing oil well established within the township to date. Nearest production is approximately six miles west in the Dirks Field.

The Steinle #1-32 (990 FNL; 1730’ FEL in Sec. 32-T15S-R14W, Russell County, KS) was placed into production on September 27, 2010. The well is producing from undisclosed perforations in the Lansing-Kansas City. Current production is averaging 72 BOPD, 11 BWPD.

Southwind Drilling, Inc. Rig #4 spud the Steinle #1-32 (990 FNL; 1730’ FEL Sec. 32-T15S-R14W, Russell County, KS) today. Projected RTD is 3450’ in the Arbuckle formation. Kevin Bailey (GeoCertified, LLC) is providing well site geologic supervision.

The Paul Beckman #1-14 (SE/4 Section 14-T10S-R31W, Thomas County, KS) was plugged and abandoned as a dry hole. RTD was reached at 4600’. Geologic well site services were provided by Steve P. Murphy. Wichita based H2 Drilling, LLC Rig #2 provided rotary drilling services.

August 8, 2010 |
Drilling is scheduled to begin on the Paul Beckman #1-14 within 2 weeks. The location in SE/4 Section 14-T10S-R31W, Thomas County, KS will be drilled by H2 Drilling, LLC. This will be the fifth test within the boundaries of the Angelus 3-D Prospect.

A new test well in the Milberger South 3-D Prospect area, in southern Russell County, KS, has been staked on the Steinle #1-32. The Steinle #1-32 is located in the N/2 NE/4 Sec. 32-T15S-R14W approximately three-quarters mile east of the Milberger town site. The Steinle #1-32 will be a northerly offset to the Russell Oil, Inc. Keil A #1-32.

H2 Drilling, LLC spud the Seele B #1-36 on June 24, 2010. The well was drilled to a RTD of 4810’ and 5 ½” casing was set on July 7. The well completion was finalized on July 27, and began pumping on August 4. Initial production from undisclosed zones was 90 BOPD, 5 BWPD.

The Lloyd B #2-2 was placed on production today. The well is producing from unspecified Lansing-Kansas City zone perforations. (UPDATE 8-6-2010: The Lloyd B #2-2 has been producing for 30 days and is now at a stabilized rate of 5 BOPD, 20 BWPD. Additional zones remain unopened at this time.)

Rotary tools are moving onto the Seele B #1-36 well location in the S/2 Sec. 36-T10S-R34W, Thomas County, KS. This well was originally scheduled for late fall 2009 and was weather delayed numerous times. H2 Drilling, LLC Rig #2 will drill the hole. Steve Angle is scheduled for well site geological duty and Kevin Bailey will conduct mud logging operations.

Today on the Hickey #13 tubing and rods were run to place this well back onto production. The well had been in temporary abandoned status since 2000. Inclement weather has delayed installation of a pumping unit. Once pumping equipment is placed over the hole the well will be returned to active production. The Hickey lease was formerly operated by the Ivan Holt Oil Operations.

The Lee C #1-5 (2240’ FSL; 1650’ FEL) in Section 5-T13S-R33W, Logan County, KS was spud. The well was drilled to a rotary total depth of 4508’. Kevin Bailey of GeoCertified, LLC was well site geologist. In addition, Bailey provided mud logging/gas detection service during drilling. The well was plugged as a dry hole on June 23, 2010.

H2 Drilling, LLC Rig #3 spud the Lloyd B #2-2 (Sec. 2-T11S-R23W, Trego County, KS). The Lloyd B #2-2 is a diagonal offset location to the Lloyd B #1-2 drilled by Russell Oil, Inc. in January 2009. Production casing was set on the well and Express Well Service is scheduled for completion. Steve Angle provided well site geological oversight.

The Steinert #1 well was placed back onto production after a brief work over. The well had been shut in for an unknown period of time prior to Russell Oil assuming operations of the lease in September 2009. The Steinert lease was formerly operated by Ivan Holt Oil Operations before his death in 2009. Express Well Service provided double drum services.

The Deanna D #1-29 was plugged and abandoned at a rotary total depth of 4800’. H2 Drilling, LLC Rig #2 provided drilling services. Steve Angle, Hays, acted as well site geologist. Mud logging services were provided by GeoCertified, LLC owner Kevin Bailey.

Drilling commenced on the Deanna D #1-29 well today. H2 Drilling, LLC Rig #3 is over the hole. The Deanna D #1-29 (960’ FNL; 1250’ FEL Sec. 29-T15S-R34W) is the fourth wildcat test well to be drilled by the company in T15S-R34W, a remote and sparsely drilled area in southwestern Logan County, KS.

Russell Oil, Inc. announced today they have relocated and are operating in their new company headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Plainfield, IL office has been shut down and the former Oklahoma City field office has been incorporated into the new headquarters office location. The Russell, KS field office and yard continue operations are before.

The Brian Beckman #1-36 was junked and abandoned after drill stem test tools and
drill pipe became stuck in the hole during a straddle drill stem test.

Drilling commenced on the Tucker A #1-29(1420' FSL; 1540' FWL) Sec. 29-T15S-R34W,
Logan County, KS. Rotary tool services are being produced by H2 Drilling, LLC Rig #3. Well geology is being provided by Steven Angle. Mud logging and evaluation services are being provided by Kevin Bailey, owner of GeoCertified, LLC.

The Laura #1-2 (Sec.2-T11S-R23W, Trego County, KS) was placed in production today. Well completion was finished January 26, 2010.

Southwind Drilling Rig #1 commenced drilling the Betty Radke #1-6 (2300’ FSL; 360’ FWL Sec. 6-T16S-R14W, Barton County, KS). Projected total depth is 3450’. Kevin Bailey with GeoCertified, LLC is providing wellsite geological supervision.

UPDATE: Seele B #1-36. The move to this well had to be postponed again. The location is partially standing in water. As the frost has been leaving the ground in the past weeks location conditions have deteriorated. Southwind Rig #1 is moving to another Russell Oil location in Barton County, KS. We are trying to reschedule as soon as possible and access is practical.

Drilling is now scheduled to commence on the Seele B #1-36 on January 25, 2010. Multiple and extensive weather delays have plagued the spud over the several months. Southwind Drilling Rig #1 is scheduled to drill the well located 2030’ FSL; 330’ FWL Sec. 36-T10S-R34W, Thomas County, KS.

Production casing was set on the Laura #1-2 (874’ FNL; 1226’ FWL Sec. 2-T11S-R23W, Trego County, KS) on January 11, 2010. The well reached a rotary total depth of 4100’. Express Well Service double drum tools are scheduled for completion.

The Laura #1-2 (874’ FNL; 1226’ FWL Sec. 2-T11S-R23W, Trego County, KS) was spud on January 2, 2010. The well is currently drilling at 3700’. The well has a projected total depth of 4100’. Southwind Drilling, Inc. Rig #1 is on location. Gas/Hydrocarbon detection equipment is provided by Kevin Bailey of GeoCertified, LLC. Steven D. Angle is well site geologist.
